When the trailer dropped for OUTtv's new queer dating show For The Love Of DILFs I got the vibe we would be in for something reminiscent of the golden era of reality tv, (ie: Flava Of Love, I Love New York, Next.. etc) when trashy hot hookups and messy drama were at the forefront of the industry. And that is precisely what this show is. Hosted by Stormy Daniels and narrated by an anonymous Dr. Dilf we are first introduced to the five “Himbos”.
Generally, a term used for the hot, young, and thoughtless; these boys live up to the definition. Mateo, Tony C, Phoenix, Tokeyo, and Nathan are here and ready for love! Not gonna lie the Himbo casting might have been an open call at an Evita party for all I know because these faces do seem a little familiar. Nathan and Mateo instantly stand out as the most likable and down-to-earth out of the five Himbos and I think that their genuine personalities will certainly help them on their quest for love. But where are the Daddies? After we get to know the Himbos, Stormy then asks them to select a box, each with underwear and different items that hint at the incoming Daddies’ personalities. Once the Himbos select their box we then get to finally meet the Daddies that they will be paired up to go on a date with.
I am so happy that we are getting introduced to this group of Daddies, each hotter than the last and bringing a fresh sense of realness to our screens. Bobby, Alex, Tony R, Jeffrey, and Gordon are each beyond savory and seemingly wholesome, which makes them extremely eligible bachelors in this competition. This is definitely going to get ugly because everyone is going to want a slice. When we are meeting the Daddies Alex Tikas proudly talks about being a sex worker, and it’s refreshing as hell to see on television. It has felt like for a long time networks and producers tried to keep things like that on the hush but that’s not the reality we live in and this is reality tv; also Alex if you’re ever down to collab hmu! ;p

After the first dates, we finally get into some drama between Phoenix and Tokeyo, over what I’m still not sure but leave it to the Weho boys to figure out how to start a fight for the cameras. Things get juicy when Stormy then comes back to let the cast know that a Himbo will be sent home tomorrow and a new one brought in. Now, this is messy and I absolutely live for it. It is unclear how the boys will be sent home (my guess is house votes, Survivor style), but I guess we will just have to wait and see. In the end, this show has great potential and I'm excited for what the next episode brings. It’s refreshing in a really honest way and still silly enough to be entertaining, I can’t wait to see what else these boys bring.
