On The Scene with Reese Rideout at the 2023 GayVN Awards

Day 1

When I got the call from my agent of over 15 years, Howard Andrew from Fabscout, who told me I’d been nominated for 4 GayVN Awards and invited me to the convention, he booked my hotel right away at the Sahara. I knew I couldn’t miss this. I’ve never been nominated for a GayVN award in all the 19+ years I’ve been a gay pornstar. Yes, I’ve won Man of the Year and have had a Cybersocket Award, but this was a first and I was humbled and honored.

I also signed this month with my first public relations team, The Rub PR with Erik Icon. She advised me to bring a stand-up banner and place it near my booth with FabScout Agency at the convention. After having it printed, I had no idea it’d cost an additional $100 each way to bring it on the plane with me. So I said fuck it, snuck it behind my jacket, down my backside, and hoped the flight attendant wouldn’t see it. Luckily, I got away with it both flights round trip. I mean it was the size of a long tripod sticking out of my coat. Winning on the first day in Vegas already.

As soon as I landed, I met up with Howard. Touched base with him. Met up with my roommate and fellow up-and-coming pornstar Amone Bane, we ventured over to Ellis Island so I could introduce him to the most delicious $20 Prime Rib Vegas has to offer. Off the strip, Ellis Island is known to the locals. Its massive portion-sized prime rib is so amazing. I even eat my leftovers cold.

The first night ended early because I knew the days ahead were going to be long.

Day 2: GayVN/AVN Convention Day and Meet & Greet at the Garden

On the first day, I brought all my gear, banner, “Rideout Cologne" and 8x10s for autographs over to the booth via a Lyft. I had no idea about the stretch limo shuttle until the 3rd day. I met up with Howard, his assistant Steven Ponce, my good friend, the beautiful Ariel Demure, and the rest of the FabScout models, Aspen, Jack Waters, Jade Venus, Tori Easton, Paul Canon, King Dwarf, Joel Someone, Benvi, Amone Bane, Jack Jackson, and so many others, in attendance. All bringing their A-Game and beautiful smiles.

I unloaded and set up my 7-foot tall banner, set out my photos to autograph, and sell my personalized cologne, an essential oil. All natural. Reese Rideout Cologne. Ready to smell like Reese all day. I didn’t sit long at the station. I had to go mingle. I met up with Alexander Rodriquez and we ventured on. I got to meet my bucket list of film crushes. Who I must film with someday! Malik Delgaty! A beautiful man! Malik and I would have fun on set as well. Let’s make this happen.

Later that night was the industry Opening Party hosted by Falcon | NakedSword at the Garden. Met up with Alexander Rodriquez, who is always so fun to be around. Anyone who was “well known” was there. The atmosphere was crazy. I bumped into Johnny Rapid, my good buddy Beau Butler (our duo video comes to our OnlyFans soon). I kept telling Beau he was “The Man of the Hour, every hour.” Because he is so kind, humble, and works his ass off. He deserves all his awards. He’s the best. He’s just so cool to be around.

While at the Garden, I kissed Colby Melvin. I mean, he’s just so handsome! I chatted with Roman Todd and his beautiful wife; Jkab Ethan Dale and his partner Dean Michaelz, a lovely couple. Even hung out with Cole Connor, DeAngelo Jackson, and Theo Brady. I met my other must fuck bucket list. Handsome and humble and kind, Cade Maddox! Oh and his boyfriend Kevin. I have to make a film with Cade. He’s so dreamy! I saw and hung out with So many amazing pornstars! You name them, I probably saw them.

Day 3

Worked the Convention at Resorts World Hotel and Casino after breakfast with Howard. Did interviews that The Rub PR set me up with. Honored to have met and talked with Jiggie Jaguar and Big Will! jiggyjaguar.com are such cool guys. Went over and talked with Michael and Jen from MEN and walked the convention floor.

P-MAN! My favorite and long-time buddy, my hype man! He came to see me this day and he never stopped smiling. He brings true joy to this world. He is so cool. If you ever meet him, you’ll see why. Very nice and funny. He’s been my pal for years since way back to the early Randy Blue days. He deserves the best.

Night 3: GayVN Awards

As I was taking the Resorts World complementary limo shuttle that I had found out about, finally, I got an urgent call from my agent, Howard, saying I was invited to present a few awards later that night at the Award Show. I was so pumped and excited! I had to go straight to rehearsals. I was picked to present the awards to the Best Actor and the Best Duo Sex scene with the cuties Sean Xavier and Paul Canon.

Arriving that night I wore my red vegan leather suit made by Boohoo Man. A last-minute fit that looked so good on. Bumping into Sam Smith in the limo shuttle with Amone Bane, his girl, Logan Aaron, and my Fabscout family. The theater was gorgeous. The bar offered free alcohol, which was a plus. Packed full of incredible and delicious talent. Walking the red carpet and seeing Chi Chi Larue, Sister Roma, Queer Me Now, Cybersocket, Marc MacNamara, Josh Sabarra, Felix Fox, Dante Colle, Greg Weiner who was my older photographer from Playgirl mag, Toby Morris from Men of Falcon, representatives from Fleshbot and seeing Michael and Jen from MEN, was all so exciting for me. Like a kid on Christmas morning.

Though I didn’t win any awards, I still appreciate and love all the support from my fans! Without you, I wouldn’t be me. So thank you. My Reese’s Pieces.

Day 4

I wore my repeat pink blazer from Fashion Nova Man and sheer leggings from Andrew Christian. Just a chill day at the Fabscout Booth. Meeting Drew Valentino and Luca Del Rey and congratulating them on their big wins. Taking photos with Johnny Rapid and Beau Butler just relaxing at the Fabscout booth. Making connections. Gave out my Reese Rideout cologne and autographs. Hopefully next year the AVN will put the Fabscout booth in a better place. Maybe we can be in the same area as the straight AVN side? Who knows.

Hope you have a listen to that. That interview took place at none other than the legend themselves booth 4MyFans creator and fellow gay porn star Austin Wolf. I’m so glad I finally got to meet him. He’s growing his empire and I respect that. He’s going places. Just as I want to be. I’m going to sign up for a 4MyFans account so be on the lookout. My assistant and I chatted with his partner Atlas Wolf for a while. Such a sweetheart. Hope to work with and film with those too also. I had met up with Cade Maddox and Jack Waters and we decided to pick up Jack. Cade said he’d get the backside lol.

Day 5: AVN Awards Night

Worked the booth for a few hours. Chatted with Beau and took a few more photos. Then said my goodbyes to a few people.

Later that night I attended the AVN awards night at the Resorts World Hotel and Casino as a guest. I rocked a black velvet jacket and matching velvet bow tie with my tight black leather pants I’ve owned the pants since I was 17. Bought them for a Reno wrestling convention and they still fit. I want to give a shout-out to my PR team, Erika, from The Rub PR for getting me red carpet and event tickets. I had a wonderful time meeting new pornstars on the straight side. There were probably over one thousand models and attendees in the audience trying to walk the red carpet, including my buddy Dante Colle. This was the biggest event I’ve attended so far. I got out of the red carpet line to pee, and on my way back I saw my favorite up-and-coming rapper Yung Gravy. I took a photo with this tall freaking guy and he even drank from my Starbucks cup. How cool! He was there watching some female pornstar friends of his at the award show. Awesome.

I got back in line near Roman Todd and his wife. Congratulated him on his big win of the GayVN night! Performer of the Year! Congrats bud. Well deserved. I never got a chance to film with him yet. He started as I was getting ready to retire for the first time back in 2010. Around the time Camming was the way to go and I wanted something new. Glad I’m back though. Lots of tough competition these days. Someday I will film with Roman Todd. Would be so hot too!

Later that night I caught up with my girl Ariel Demure. Congratulated her on all her nominations and wins as well. She’s so good! She’s such a sweetheart and will help her friends in need and just be there for you. I truly appreciate her. I cannot recall everyone I met. I do remember meeting a creative writer, Dominic Dom, and chatting about making movies together. I met a MILF nominee and her husband from Australia. I ran into Trenton Ducati on the way back to my room. Kind enough to pose for a photo with me. Talked to Ariel for a few hours and called it a night.
