TV Hunks: The Guys of Gilmore Girls

It’s an oldie, but a goodie. Gilmore Girls continues to be a favorite of women and gay guys everywhere. But why is this series such a favorite in the same realm as Golden Girls, Designing Women, and all the other female-dominant comedies we love so much?

Maybe it’s the rapid witty dialogue. In the course of just one episode, the characters reference at least half a dozen classic movies, novels, or pop culture figures. Everything from the Judy A Star is Born to a Jane Fonda workout video, to a Rogers and Hammerstein musical ballad. Every character just seems to be super brushed up on their pop culture, just like any good gay.

Maybe it’s the sassy bickering between all the ladies? The free-spirited Lorelei Gilmore is constantly arguing with her rich and uptight mother Emily about whatever situation is at hand. Whether it’s Lorelei’s latest date, a car she wants to buy, or a business decision at her inn, Emily always has some fiery opinion and we love her for it.

But let’s face it, we like this show because there are so many cute guys on it! Between Lorelei and her daughter Rory, we easily got a good ten cute guys that they were involved with over the course of the show's seven years. Let’s have a look at our favorite Gilmore Guys and the actors who played them.

Dean

Dean Forester was Rory’s first boyfriend and though he turned out to not be the best (spoiler!) he started out as the sweetest guy! He even built Rory her first car with his own two hands! Actor Jared Padalecki, all 6ft 4in of him, is also a regular on the hit Supernatural on the CW.

Jess

Jess Mariano was the embodiment of the bad boy we all lusted after at the end of HS and he is perfectly played by Milo Ventimiglia. Milo and his wavy black hair and super sexy crooked smile have earned three Emmy Awards for his performance as Zaddy on This Is Us.

Logan

Logan Huntzberger was Rory’s rich college sweetheart and the one who came closest to actually building a life with her. Blonde and buff Matt Czuchry made Logan so irresistible, we often wondered what the hell Rory was thinking being so torn between him and Jess. Matt went on to star in The Good Wife and is currently a starring on The Resident.

Luke

Luke Danes is the owner of the local coffee shop where Lorelei and Rory hang out and the sexual tension between him and Lorelei is apparent from the beginning. How could they not be with dreamy Luke always there to get these wild girls out of a jam?
