First Gay NFL Player Carl Nassib Goes Public With Boyfriend, Olympic Swimmer Søren Dahl

After weeks of public speculation from fans, holy-damn-hot NFL player and 1st-NFL-athlete-to-come-out Carl Nassib took to social media to confirm he is indeed in a relationship. Who is the lucky man? Also hot as fuck athlete Søren Dahl. Nassib put a picture of him and the Danish Olympic swimmer on his Instagram stories writing, "Kicking off 2023 with my man and a trip to the playoffs." Oh my heart... "My man." Even more adorable? Dahl is wearing a Nassib jersey.

It was a major step forward when Nassib, a linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, came out as gay in 2021. Going unapologetically public by posting a picture of the two of them? Even more major! Sports as a whole (but especially the NFL) has often been associated with homophobia, in no small part due to the fact that... well... it wasn't until 2021 that someone even came out! Statistically there have obviously been hundreds of gay athletes over the last century, but in the 2020s we're finally starting to give Queer youth out athletes to look up to.
