How you got your name: It’s actually a play on my government name “DaRon”, pronounced Day Ron but there’s no Y hence the capital R.

When you started go-go dancing and what got you into it: I’d always been a fan of '60s/'70s go-go dancers and the video girls of the '90s and early 2000s hip-hop era growing up. There was always just a vibe that those movers carried with them that made you want to dance, which is something I try to create when I’m on stage. I started go-going in 2018 as a need for self-expression, to break the mold of what our community’s ideologies of what sexy is, and become a vessel to bring more people that look like me in popular queer spaces, but overall to fulfill my love and desire to dance around in almost nothing with abandon.

Favorite styles of music and artists to dance to: Pop, Hip-Hop, House, Disco, R&B, Beyoncé, Prince, Britney, Mariah, Notorious BIG, Lil Kim, Danity Kane, Anita Baker, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, and many, many others.

Venues & parties you dance at: Precinct (VPL, You’ve Got Male, Biqtchin), The Abbey, Micky's, Motherlode, Heart WeHo.

Favorite thing to wear while dancing: A thong

Favorite part of your body: My chest

Your signature dance move: I do this small butt cheek isolation when I need a moment to breathe either standing up or on all fours. The guys and the girls love it.

Have you ever hooked up with a club patron? Yes.

Have you ever hooked up with another dancer? Yes.

Biggest pet peeve when people are tipping you: I hate when patrons stare with no expression like I'm the issue when I’m clearly on the clock. Then have the audacity to walk over and say “You’re so good. I’d tip you if I had cash.” Bitch! Go Home!

Biggest pet peeve about working with other go-go boys: Complaining about the tips they’re not making when I just witnessed them cash out the night before. Some nights are amazing, other times it’s just the contrast of our time and place. It’s a part of the job. Just have fun.

What advice would you give to a new go-go dancer? Enjoy yourself regardless of how slow a night is or how many tips you make. The abundance and people will come. It’s all a part of the ebb and flow with this kind of work.

Favorite thing about being a go-go boy: Getting to explore the many sides of myself through people and dance. I naturally express myself with the masculine and feminine energies I possess, and the positive reinforcement I’ve received through people whether they find me entertaining or just sexy validates my self-exploring.

What do you like to do when you’re not go-go dancing? Go to the beach, have a spa day, hiking, have drinks with friends, smoke lots of tree, sleep, and fuck.

What do you love about the city you live in? The beach. Especially during summertime in LA. That’s where I’d spend most of my time if possible.
