Cybersocket is coming to NYC as the sponsor of The Eagle's iconic Jockstrap Night on January 18th. It's going to be a full night of hot men, great pool, and some serious cruising. Need more reason to attend? You'll get to hang with one of NYC's hottest bartenders, Cole Morris.
If you've been to any of the major gay bars in NYC you've likely seen this sexy bartender at some point. Whether at Playhouse, The Cock, or The Eagle, Cole Morris is a staple of the gay nightlife scene, and for good reason: he's hot as hell and he's really fucking good at what he does! I had the pleasure of sitting down with Cole at The Eagle this week so I could get to know him a bit more!
Some Quick Stats to Start!
Name: Cole Morrison
Instagram: @RigorMorris_
Hometown: South Florida
How long in NYC: 7 Years
How long with the Eagle: 4 years
Relationship Status: Single
Is there any rivalry amongst The Eagles? There's so many of them and they're all fairly different.
Cole: I couldn't tell you, because I've never really been to another one!
None of them?!
Cole: (laughs) I haven't been to any of them, and Fort Lauderdale's came in after I moved away.
Do you ever come here as a patron or does working here prevent you from able to turn off the work switch and just enjoy the space?
Cole: I don't want to use the term "I don't sh*t where I eat," but when I'm here, I give all my energy to everything: making money, sales, and customer service. But on my off-time I'm just at my house doing my routine, gym, and stuff like that.
It's safe to say the Eagle NYC has a specific reputation. NYC as a whole certainly is a very adventurous and sex-positive city, but I’d say The Eagle kind of leads that charge. Is that a point of pride for the bar?
Cole: I would say so.
Good! It should be!
Cole: We're one of the only places you can [have that kinda fun]. It's a sexy, dark bar where men can be men, be nasty. Because all men are fucking pigs when they get here.
What’s your favorite event here to work?
Cole: DILF party! And all the parties on Fridays, really. It's Verbal, it's Megawoof, it's DILF. They have really good fucking DJs and it always brings a crowd. And also the Summer Beer Blasts on the roof. People are in really fucking good moods. No matter what they did the night before, they're just kinda happy to be here. And I'm happy to be here. And I don't know if you've notice, but there's a lot of hot men at this bar.
I can't disagree with you there. Every time I'm here I notice that it legitimately has the most diverse crowd of almost any gay bar in the city. Every body type, age, race, etc... and they're all fucking hot.
Cole: Take a look upstairs right now and you're gonna see a whole bunch of hot men.
Is there an event you dread working?
Cole: No! When I've worked in straight clubs, yes. When I work in gay bars, no.
Right I guess The Eagle doesn't have their “all-bachelorette” night.
Cole: No, this isn't PTown. We, of course, welcome everybody. Anybody's welcome. But it's not like PTown level where you sometimes go in and think, "Where the fuck am I?" But I did work at Playhouse and they get a lot of bachelorette parties.
You have to have seen some wild stuff. Is there been anything that's shocked even you?
Cole: I love all of it.
(*snaps from me*)
Cole: I'm kinda open to all of it and I like people to enjoy themselves. People will make mistakes and all that, but also open up new parts of themselves, as well. I like people to have fun.
Any horror stories?
Cole: I guess it's just when people get too fucked up, and they ruin their own night. Because you want people to have fun, but also want people to be with their friends. I also work as an EMT, and at other places people have gotten really fucked up and their friends are just nowhere to be found, and you're just like, "C'mon guys." You want people to do better, but I feel like a lot of gays - especially in the 'party scene' - go through that phase of just wanting to hit it too hard. You kinda have to. It's the "Gay Trama."
Tell me about you! Secret talents? Speak a different language?
Cole: I've been doing Duolingo for over a year and still can't speak Spanish. But I enjoy doing it every day because it's good for my brain; I love to learn. I love my more spiritual side. I love the gym, big video games, I love anime. I love to work. I love to work. I'm an EMT, I bartend, I do massage as well. It also makes me really proud that I have all these skill sets.
You're an entrepreneur! You're making it all happen.
