Fetish Month Exclusive Interview: Stud Fist Creator Jeff Carter

It wouldn't be Fetish Month without an article about fisting, and there is no better candidate for the one-handed delight than StudFist creator Jeff Carter. Jeff has been in the game for a minute and has made quite the mark in the world of fisting. As they say, when you do what you love you don't work a day in your life, and Jeff has taken those words all the way up to his elbow and back. Let's hear more from Jeff on

Tell us about StudFist and how it first came to fruition.

StudFist is a labor of love. I started it in 2007 with a fist buddy who goes by the name Amerifist. We lived a few blocks apart in San Francisco at the time. He trained me how to take a fist and showed me the ways of the fisting world which at the time was both underground and scandalous. At some point, we started to cam our play sessions to a fisting chat room and each time we would fill up all the available connections - which was amazing! One day after a cam sesh, we got to chatting about the state of fisting porn and how bad it had become. At the same time, I was working for an internet team at a tech company and Amerifist had been training to edit video. So we thought it would be cool to see if we could make a website that we could make some money from.

Can you tell us a little bit about what it's like to be in your shoes regarding running StudFist?

Gratifying and amazing. I love men and I love fisting so doing this as a job is fucking cool. The content library we have amassed still makes me smile and the loyalty and support of our customers are basically unbelievable and rewarding beyond belief. Producing StudFist makes me feel like there is nothing I can't do. It also makes me strive to improve my skills, my production craft, and the website so people feel like they had a great experience.

What do you look for in performers when casting?

Real-world fisting experience and wide appeal. I don't like shooting just one kind of look or one type of man. It's a reflection of my own personal tastes and I just go with my gut. Hot is Hot. I'm also a very loyal person so I will shoot you as many times as you will let me.

What is it that you think your audience loves about StudfFist?

It feels real and it's fun to watch. People comment to me all the time that it feels like a hookup. I'm right there on the bed with the guys or on the floor under the sling. I egg on the top and talk to the bottom about what a little piggy they are... We have fun and I think it comes through in the final product. Someone told me this week that I'm doing "God's Work".

Can you take us on a conceptual tour of the studio? Using your words, can you describe what it feels like on set?

That is the other difference between us and other productions - we don't do sets and we certainly don't consider ourselves a studio - we are a website.

I love to straddle the line between iPhone in a hotel room and expensive cameras and great lighting on a great set. So we shoot in hotels and at home, I set up the camera and the lights and we go for it. I love a stealth shoot in a sex club or on the roof of a warehouse. Super informal fuck and go with a hug and kiss at the end. I treat everyone I work with like a friend. That's how I want it to be - fun and exciting.

What is your favorite aspect of your work?

I like being the boss. I like making products and sharing my point of view. I LOVE the shoots - when there is good on-set chemistry it fills my little black heart.

What type of porn is in your browser history?

I dunno, I spend a lot of time doing anti-piracy work so I will get distracted by a hot ass or big fat dick. I love blowjob porn and fisting. My passion is brown men so lots of those handsome fuckers are in my cache. I try to buy porn when something grabs me cause you know - let's reward and show respect to the content creators!

In what direction do you see porn going?

I think we are at the end of mega-paid platforms and porn mills. A lot of the old-guard producers have been reliant on money from DVD and legacy customers which are starting to dry up. We have been seeing a rise in storied and scripted all-male porn which is targeted at women. I think those brands will go harder on that route and will have their own communities grow around them. I also hope that some of the more successful producers of fan page content get off those platforms and start doing it for themselves.

I personally see the return of a community growing around specific brands or tastes. This one size fits all social media-driven mega-platform system is saturated and boring. Huge portions of fans content producers are forced into making highly regulated content with the same people. Lots of guys tell me problems where they aren't getting paid or they have their profile or content deleted without warning or recourse. Some content producers will give up and hopefully, others will strike out on their own and build their own platforms or brands with trusted partners.

In what direction do you see StudFist going?

I want to grow the brand out to incorporate the community with more free and paid content. Making some life changes this year will help me do that.
