Carti B recently came under fire for a tweet she posted saying “We going through a recession…..Merry Christmas,” with a Christmas tree emoji. So of course you know someone had to pop off in the responses, prompting a response from Cardi. A twitter user replied to her tweet saying, "Says the rapper worth 40 million.” Cardi clapped back, saying “I’m worth more [than] that and guess what? If I don’t save, work and budget I could lose it too!What makes you think that no matter how much money you got you can’t lose it all if you don’t manage your money correctly. I too have bills, responsibilities and people I have to help.” I agree with the poet laureate Ms. Cardi B. It’s like they say, more money more problems. I wouldn’t know, but that’s what I hear!

It is now revealed that James Cameron began planning to make a Sequel to Avatar in 2013. Barack Obama was still in Office, COVID hadn’t happened yet. It was a different time. The good ol’ days really. It was then that he started the script for the sequel. Now James Cameron in revealing that the sequel ended up having to be split into two different movies. The first of which being Avatar: The Way Of Water. I just recently saw Avatar 2 in 3D and it was incredible! Visually stunning, and I thought the story was really great. Being split into two movies may explain the cliffhanger ending at the end of Avatar 2. Now we can expect a third, fourth, and possibly a fifth Avatar movie. I am ready.

If you saw last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, you know that the women ended the episode partying it up in San Diego. They had just come back from a Marilyn Monroe themed dinner. I loved them all fighting with ugly wigs on. It was iconic. In the last seconds of the episode, it’s the following morning, and Heather reveals to the women that she has a black eye. This week’s episode begins with the women trying to figure out how it happened. Heather makes it seem like she knows but won’t reveal it. Why won’t she just say what happened?? I don’t get why she’s dragging this out, or who she’s trying to defend. Assuming there was an altercation with another cast member. I supposed we’ll have to wait and see!

Allegedly Justin Bieber is in talks to sell the rights to his music catalog for $200 million. He’s supposedly close to closing a deal with Hipgnosis Songs Capital, a firm that invests in music rights. If the deal goes through, it will be their biggest one to date. Hipgnosis recently purchased the rights to Justin Timberlake’s music for $100 million. Does this mean the Justins are retiring from music? I’m not sure! But if I was offered that much money for my music catalog, I might just run off into the sunset, never to be seen again!

There seems to be a lot of conversation around “nepo babies” in Hollywood lately. The term “nepo” is short for “nepotism,” which is what happens when a person of power or influence shows favor towards relatives or friends, often by giving them jobs. In showbiz, nepotism is extremely prevalent, especially when someone has famous parents. We all know a celebrity or actor who’s parents are also famous, and though they may be talented and hard-working, it’s very clear that being the child of an A-List celebrity can open a lot of doors. Now of course people are complaining about this, calling out the privilege these people have. And I get it! It’s annoying. But wouldn’t you do the same if given the chance?
