Steamy New HBO Max Docuseries Highlights the Sex Lives of Gay New Yorkers

One thing HBO has always been ahead of the curve on is their forward-thinking content on sex. Real Sex series was one of the best series to cover the world of sex, and their iconic Taxi Cab Confessions (reboot plz) ran for over a decade. HBO clearly isn't afraid to get sexy, and their new docuseries, Sex Diaries looks to carry on that sex-positive tradition.

Sex Diaries will share the real stories of eight Queer New Yorkers who are navigating the worlds of sex and dating. The docuseries is based on the New York Magazine column of the same name which, which has over 700 entries and has become a major alt favorite in the Queer world.

The show's description reads:

"The verité portraits are woven together with video diaries that share personal reflections on dating, cultivating relationships and exploring sexual desire, and include check-ins with Alyssa Shelasky, editor of New York Magazine’s Sex Diaries column, as diarists recount the ups and downs of their experiences. A contemporary look at a search for connection, Sex Diaries offers a range of unique explorations of sex, intimacy, and relationships today.
