Exclusive Interview: Winner of FleshbotGay Favorite Fan Award P MAN

Porn would amount to very little if it weren't for its fans. Our fans are far more than just consumers. They are our cheerleaders, our inspiration, and occasionally our Amazon Wishlist Santas. Some fans go above and beyond with their loyalty and gratitude. Let's take the time to show gratitude for one fan in particular. P Man began his Twitter page years ago as a way to share with others his curated selection of gay porn that he considers to be the cream of the crop. Over time, he has amassed a following of not only appreciators of porn but also those in the industry. P Man's fan page has become one of the premiere fan pages for gay porn, which is why he took home the FleshbotGay Award for Favorite Fan.

You are quite the connoisseur of porn. Tell us about how this interest grew from afternoon delight sessions to where you are now, curating your social media to share some of the sexiest content out there.

I guess you could say I fell into it. Back in the early 2000s, there were a lot of porn events in New York that I used to go to. I would meet my favorite stars of the time and strike up a conversation with them. I got a Twitter account in 2009 and followed some of them. Roman Todd was one of the first ones. We were friends and I wanted to help him get to 10k followers. I got together with some of his followers, and we did it.

Now looking at his followers and seeing others posting on Twitter like HotGuyZone (my mentor) who showed me the ropes, more people are taking notice of my tweets, it's fantastic. Through networking, I got to interact with more people and fans of many of the talented gay porn stars that I love and respect. Porn stars started to take notice of them when I posted their scenes, and they liked my positive attitude. People started to like and retweet my posts on them, and through this, I became friends with many of them. Word of mouth got around about my Twitter page, and it took off from there.

You recently were recognized by Fleshbot with an award acknowledging your contribution to the industry. How does it feel to have a light shown on your work with your social media?

AJ, it felt wonderful to be acknowledged for something that you love to do and respected for all the hard work and time you put into it. Also a humbling experience. I never knew what kind of impact I was making with my posts. I was just posting what I like and wanted people to see how good these performers are and shine a light on them—show that they are so much more than cock and ass. These are great guys with dreams and aspirations.

What do you look for in content that you deem worth sharing?

The chemistry between the performers is definitely a plus. You can tell when it’s not there and faked, it’s a turn-off. It has to get me hard right from the start. The anticipation factor before the sexual act begins is what leads up to it. To me, it’s just more than just wham bam thank u, ma'am. I just have an instinct I guess and knowing the performers themselves, and what they bring to the table.

Who would you like to see work together and why? No need to stop at just two people ;)

Hahahahah that could be a novel, AJ. Love to see my ace Max Konnor and Alpha Wolfe work together. Love these guys to pieces and they are so talented. Roman Todd and DeAngelo Jackson would be off the charts. Such sexy and talented men. Roman Todd and Reese Rideout never did a scene together and they started at the same studio Randy Blue, between two legends. Beau Butler and Cade Maddox would be a hot one as well, Issac X and Drew Valentino, it’s just hot seeing friends doing.

When it's time for a little self-care, what is your porn category of choice?

I love interracial ones. My favorite is seeing different ethnicities CUM together. To me, we are as one like a box of skittles, taste AND fuck the rainbow. I know this sounds corny but also having a good storyline is key.

Is there any studio whose work you feel sets the bar that much higher?

So many hot studios to choose from. Just saw Naked Sword, then there is Raging Stallion, Falcon Studios, Next Door Studios, Noir Male, and Icon Male... It’s hard to choose just one. These studios have been producing such great films.

You are familiar with so many fresh faces in the industry. Are there any that you feel we should be looking out for?

Oh yes for one YOU BOO, you. AJ Sloan, I was posting about you before we started talking. Andrew Miller, Derek Kage Logan Aarons, Jordan Starr, Brock Kniles Prxce, Reign, Drew Valentino, Brad Connors, Tony Genius, Jonathan Tylor, Blaine O’Connor, and Jake Waters isn’t new but I know he will get more exposure. All these men are hot sexy talented and each brings their originality to the table.

You are good friends with Roman Todd, yes? How have you two been there for each other over the time you've known one another?

I have known Roman Todd since 2009 /2010, and I think he is one of the best versatile, talented, and hot performers around. He's a great guy. We have been there for each other through thick and thin. Through all of the good times and the bad, he has always been there to lend an ear, and I am there for him. We have mutual respect and appreciation for each other. Off Twitter, we care about each other, and will always be there for each other.

I’m proud of where Roman is in the industry now and of me from the conception of my Twitter and posting about him to doing others. Roman always encouraged me to do more and he knew I could do it so for him. For years, telling him he is the best of the best, and I knew he would; I always saw it in him. We have seen each other grow in the industry and it’s wonderful. He is my bro. We will be always lifelong friends.

Where do you see the popularity of your social media accounts going? Any sights in mind?

The sky's the limit! I met so many people including my followers, porn stars, directors, and so forth. Whatever it takes me, I will meet the challenge. I take it day by day, and just you guys interviewing me and doing other things with you guys, I find exhilarating.

What is next for P-Man? What can we expect from you and your brand in the new year?

Only one way to go is up. More posting and promoting positivity with so many of these talented guys in the industry and directors, as well, and let people know how what you guys do is WORK. There are so many interesting things about you all that is more than just doing scenes. Maybe become a mentor to someone else coming into the industry. You know try to avoid some of the pratfalls. And also hope to branch out even more, maybe me doing what you're doing writing about this great industry. Hell, maybe see me in front of the camera doing a scene—can never get enough of us daddies!
