If you live in the NYC area, there's one guy you've almost definitely crossed paths with, seen perform, or seen photography by Leo Ryder! He lights up every floor he dances on, and brings a vibe and a liveliness that makes any party worth your time. With 14k followers on IG, Leo has clearly become one of the best go-go boys in NYC. Covered in ink and scruff, Leo is as handsome as he is multi-talented.
This week's Go Go Boy Spotlight continues with Leo Ryder!
Hometown: Miami, FL
Current City: NY, NY
Birthday: August 10th
Single or taken: Single at the moment!
Go-Go name: Leo Ryder
How you got your name: It was a lazy chosen name, being a Leo it just made sense!
When you started go-go dancing and what got you into it: Started a few years ago…the idea of being out and dancing and just having a good time, and helping set the vibe for a party really appealed to me.

Favorite styles of music and artists to dance to: Love dancing to anything with a good beat, but play disco or house and you’re guaranteed to make me happy.
Venues & parties you dance at: Love dancing for the Wolfpup party and the Underwear party, both on Fire island during the summer; most recently you can find me at Frankie’s DEMONS at the Cock Wednesday nights, and Wolfpup will be at Rebar monthly starting Nov 12!
Favorite thing to wear while dancing: It’s always fun to put a lacey/stringy look together, but when in doubt, less is always more! ;p
Favorite part of your body: My eyes! People don’t always think about where to look while dancing but making eye contact with people at the party is my favorite moment of connection.
Your signature dance move: Don’t know if I have one! I try to just flow with whatever the DJ is giving.

Have you ever hooked up with a club patron? Definitely yes.
Have you ever hooked up with another dancer? …definitely yes.
My biggest pet peeve when people are tipping you: When people think that giving you a dollar means that they have access to my body. Tip your gogo’s, don’t sexually assault them.
My biggest pet peeve about working with other go-go boys: Genuinely love all the dancers I’ve had the pleasure of working with! Messy gogos are never cute and I’m grateful that all the people I’ve danced with are professional and lovely.
What advice would you give to a new go-go dancer? Just have fun with it! If you have fun up on the box, it shows.
My favorite thing about being a go-go boy: Being a part of the party, just having the freedom to dance and feel myself and make sure everyone is having a great time.
What do you like to do when you’re not go-go dancing? I’m a photographer and a pastry chef by trade, so you can catch me shooting and baking when I’m not shaking ass!
What do you love about the city you live in? What’s not to love about NYC? There’s always something or someone fab to do and spend time with!
Hobbies: I take myself to as many shows as I can, a solo Broadway date is always a great time.
Your hidden talent: I’m actually a decent singer, I just don’t do it often anymore.
The last TV show you binge-watched: A league of their own…super queer, and really fun.
Top 3 favorite movies: Oof that’s tough, my top movies change all the time. Ones I revisit most though are: Victor/Victoria, Some Like it Hot, and Nightcrawler. Recently, Everything Everywhere All at Once has been up there.
Perfect romantic date: I’ll letcha know when I figure that out.
Favorite sex position: Don’t have one! If I’m vibing sexually with someone, anything is game
Celebrity crush: Young Marlon Brando, David Bowie circa 1980s, Idris Elba any day, any time.
