New Gay AF “Interview With a Vampire” Series Coming to AMC

If you're Queer and grew up in the '80s and '90s, like myself, then you'll most likely remember being absolutely enamored with Neil Jordan's 1994 movie Interview With a Vampire, based on the Anne Rice novel of the same name. The film starred Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Like so many other movies of the era, the story is essentially a straight one, but the relationship between the two leading men is rife with gay undertones, and always felt like it was one extended glance away from a good brojob. Finally, the story is being given the full Queer treatment we all knew it deserved, in the form of a new AMC series premiering on October 2nd.

The story is still the same basic premise as it follows Louis de Pointe (Jacob Anderson) and his journey of love, immortality, and a lust for blood shared by the Vampire Lestat (Sam Reid). If you recognize Anderson but can't quite place him because of his longer hair, it's because he was Grey Worm, they holy-shit-sexy eunuch from HBO's Game of Thrones, where we were blessed to see his awesome acting chops along with his gorgeous pork chops.

Australian hunk Same Reid is most known for his roles in Anonymous, Belle, The Railway Man, and Prime Suspect 1973, but fans will get to see him in all his blonde-blue sexiness this fall following in Tom Cruise's footsteps as a sexy vampire (SOMEONE'S e-meter readings must be strong!).

The story takes places in 1910s New Orleans, and from the looks of the trailer is going to be hot as fuck. It seems we're going to get lots of gay sex, lots of mostly-naked men, and if we're lucky maybe even a few dicks we'd love to suck on (#NoTeeth). It will no doubt be a love triangle that grapples with lust versus love, and the prospect of immortality in the face of a changing world.

Rounding out the cast is Succession's Eric Bogosian as Daniel Malloy, and Bailey Bass (Claudia), Assad Zaman (Rashid), Kalyne Coleman (Grace De Poine Du Lac), and Chris Stack (Thomas Anderson). Interview With a Vampire looks like it's going to be one not to be missed. Based on the trailer below, all signs point to this show not sucking!
