A Look Inside CLAW 2022, The Kinkiest Charity Fundraiser in the World

The Cleveland Leather Annual Weekend (CLAW) is a five-day conference that stands apart from other leather/BDSM events, like International Mr. Leather (happening in Chicago this weekend), because it is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has donated nearly $1 million to community charities since forming in 2001. This year’s “homecoming” conference gathered for the first time in Cleveland since April 2019, hosting 200 events for over 2,000 horny men from around the world. This has got to be the hottest charity fundraising event in the world, and definitely the kinkiest!

CLAW 22 created a safe space for for men to get laid, explore their kinks, and connect in community, hosting events for a multitude of sexual proclivities through their nightly Speed Dating (CLAW Virgins, BDSM, Ass Play and Handlers & Pups to name a few); ABU Playground for Age Play and Adult Baby/Diaper Lovers (ABDL); Pup Moshes; and nightly play parties at The Academy, which hosted the infamous Horse Market x PigLoad Lube sex party, where willing bottoms were completely blindfolded and submitted to any and all tops in the “stable”.

CLAW’s most sought-after events are their Skills & Education sessions that include topics like Bondage & Rope Suspension for Beginners, Ass Play and Electro & Violet Wand Intro to community forums like Consent to Kink, Asian Caucus, and Surviving Ageism. This year, CLAW Benefactor Jim Neuman offered a $10K matching grant for each dollar donated to CLAW to sustain the growth of its Skills & Education program.

Over the span of the five day conference, CLAW hosted a number of social events like its world-famous Cigar Deck filled with slings, fuck benches and St. Andrew’s crosses, bar nights at Leather Stallion Saloon, host hotel dance parties and community meals like the International Leather Family Dinner, where Bob Miller recounted the last 20 years of running CLAW as he prepares to step down from the Executive Director position at the end of this year.
