It's Spring, which means the scene gays in New York already have their Fire Island share all planned out and they're in serious prep mode. Fire Island is the magical, little gay getaway for NYC homos where you can drink, dance, and fuck until you can't any longer. Fire Island is to NYC, what Palm Springs is to LA. So much of our rich, queer history was formed on Fire Island. There are books, documentaries, and Instagram accounts dedicated to preserving its legacy. And now, Fire Island will be immortalized once more in the new adult comedy Fire Island. This clever rom com is a gay, Asian take on Jane Austen's beloved Pride and Prejudice set in the Fire Island Pines. Written by Andrew Ahn, the all-gay cast is led by Joel Kim Booster and Bowen Yang, as well as Conrad Ricamora, Matt Rogers, James Scully, Tomás Matos, and Margaret Cho. The trailer dropped this morning, and we're already obsessed. (Also, we better get a hot Joel Kim Booster/Conrad Ricamora sex scene with this R rating!)
Fire Island will be available to stream on Hulu beginning June 3.
