Perhaps like many, you spent your Valentine’s Day streaming the new JLo rom-com Marry Me. Available on Peacock TV and in select theaters, the movie stars international superstar Jennifer Lopez as international superstar Kat Valdez, and Colombian singer and actor Maluma plays her very sexy fiance Bastian. As far as rom-coms go, Marry Me delivers, and the music is catchy as hell!

Maluma, born Juan Luis Londoño Arias in Medellín, Colombia in 1994, is blowing up right now in America. In South America, he’s already a megastar, with his music videos getting billions of views on YouTube—yes billions with a B. He’s about to have a major cross-over moment (he was also in Encanto and will be in the new Sing 3), and we’re going to be there to thirst for it.

According to the 'pedia, Maluma dates models—of course—and is an advocate for the LGBTQ community in South America. He did a duet with Latin gay icon Ricky Martin in 2016. Gee, to be in the middle of that sandwich.

Now in my mind, in my fantasy, he also dates men. (Maybe because he slightly reminds me of Chris Damned.) So when he plays this game with Ellen, it could be about me.
