Go Behind the Scenes of Young Bastards’ Purge Parody with Angel Cruz

Ever Wondered What Happens When the Camera isn’t Officially Rolling?

I’ll be 100-percent honest with you, which is always my goal, anyway. This scene is not what I expected. Not by a long shot. But it was awesome! Until I saw “The Purge Goes Hardcore” I had never had any exposure to Young Bastards, not counting the ones I’ve dated. After watching this short semi-documentary, mini-interview, behind-the-scenes thing I am really interested in seeing the video that justifies this promo footage. It looks interesting and hot as hell if you like rough sex between men. But with a plot.

I don’t know if “Fucking Berlin Beyond La Purga” is the name of this footage or the name of the parody, but it’s in the title credits, so it must mean something. We start off at an airport and driving down a freeway. The mood is very much upbeat and positive, drawing you deeper into the story unfolding.

Each performer and their persona for the release are introduced during the intro credits, as well. And there are some hot bits of rough trade in the cast. Angel Cruz, for instance, plays the “Starfucker” who is constantly talking about his latest influences on Instagram. Abraham Montenegro is the “Dreamer.” Dominique Kenique is the “Badass Daddy.” Josh Milk is the “Spunky Lad.” And so on.

What that all means, I don’t know yet because I haven’t seen the actual Purge parody. I just know it sounds interesting and given what I saw during this BTS docu-thing, I want to find out how they go from masked and made-up thugs knocking heads to masked and made-up thugs fucking innocent citizen butts. What we have during the 19 minutes of runtime is a series of micro interviews, rehearsals, and candid moments that are engaging, beautifully shot, sometimes insightful, and highly enticing.

Is there any sex? Well, if you don’t count about five seconds of playful dry humping, then no. In other words, no. But in addition to enjoying the sight of men having sex with each other, I dig learning about how movies are made, the people who appear in them, and blahblahblah.

The primary focus is day one of their parody shoot. The star of day one is Angel, not because his character is necessarily a main character on that day but because he spends a lot of time bragging about his success as an influencer. He’s an annoying if handsome, bit of preening vanity. And, dammit, he’s probably right about being able to sell someone else’s product with a single image. Fortunately, he uses his powers for good at least once in a while. In this case, he uploads promo images for the project out of the goodness of his heart. Which he wants everyone to know about. No point in being a martyr if no one notices, after all.

Using the original Purge as a loose basis for this parody, the important plot change concerns sex. Duh. Instead of a night of legal, if normally criminal, butchery we have a night of legal, if brutal and extreme, fuckery. As Abraham puts it, “I am talking about hardcore sex. Real hardcore sex.”

But not everyone is on board for the hardcore sex. Rafa Marco may be called the “Party Boy” in the credits, but he’s starting to question what he’s doing performing in hardcore videos. He’d like to see more outdoor dialogue scenes. Josh has his self-doubt, as well, having fallen into the adult business rather by accident. Valentino Ribas does it for the dollars. Well, that and the fact he likes to show off his skills in the fucking department at any opportunity. As he demonstrates when he whips his phone out.

Abraham, on the other hand, loves the attention he gets when he travels by those who recognize him from his creative work. However much he enjoys basking in the fan praise, he still manages to come across as modest. He and Josh are great foils to Angel’s masturbatory expressions of ego.

“The Purge Goes Hardcore” is a lot of fun, especially for the sexy librarian-minded porn fan like me. In addition to salacious details like the fact Dominic likes rimming, as well as bottoming for cum and piss, there are some genuinely good pieces of information about making it in the adult biz.
