Open Post: Will This Be The Summer Of The Mandemic?

You might have caught wind of the fact that over the past year, the world has been shooketh by a little fucker of a virus known as COVID-19. Oh, you heard. Now that new cases and decreases (or at least remaining relatively low) and vaccinations are on the rise (the US just hit the milestone of 2 million inoculations per day) - not to mention the fact that some scientists estimate 1/3rd of the US population has already been infected by COVID - people are starting to wonder: Will this be the summer of the Mandemic?

In other words, will shit in Gayworld be poppin'off.gov this summer, or will cautious and road-weary survivors of the pandemic take longer to venture out into the world? Do you plan to hit up clubs, bars, bathhouses, Lion's Den bathroom stalls off I-95, etc., or will you play it safe over the upcoming months?

I believe that mental health plays a huge role in overall wellness, so I haven't been big on shaming people during the pandemic. A lot of folks have been on the edge (not of glory) and if it takes some socializing for a person to not go to their dark place, then I'm just not going to point fingers. Not my style babe. But I happen to be one of those gays who double masks in addition to wearing a huge face shield (that I literally bought from an industrial supply company) so you can assume that I won't be at the clurb super soon. However you can find me outdoor dining. Mama needs her glass of chardonnay.

My point is that this is not a place for shaming. This is a safe space for homosexual men to discuss Mandemic 2021 okay! What are your plans for the summer? Sound off in the CUMments!
