T.J. Osborne is one half of the brotherly country singing duo Brothers Osborne, and this Wednesday in Time Magazine, he boldly came out as proudly gay. As T.J. Osborne is a fixture in the traditionally conservative country music scene, this is a pretty rootin' tootin' big deal ya'll. Osborne said of feeling secure in his sexuality:

I’m very comfortable being gay. I find myself being guarded for not wanting to talk about something that I personally don’t have a problem with. That feels so strange.

What a coincidence. I'm comfortable with him being gay as well. MFEO? Osborne continues, about navigating the country music scene as an openly gay man:

People will ask, ‘Why does this even need to be talked about?’ and personally, I agree with that. But for me to show up at an awards show with a man would be jaw-dropping to people. It wouldn’t be like, ‘Oh, cool!'
