Before you think we're being all retro and reviewing the campy 1966 thriller starring Gregory Peck and Sophia Loren in an incomprehensible plot about ... spies? art thieves? ... we're not; this "Arabesque" is the new year-end blockbuster from Chris Ward and Raging Stallion. On the surface, it appears to fit the whole "special edition" M.O.: two discs, three plus hours, a galaxy of of stars (including Huessein, Fran
ois Sagat, and dreamboat Remy Delaine). With 17 stars and 12 scenes—the first one alone boasts nine money shots—you're probably getting your money's worth. But this is more than just a cleverly packaged production with an Arab twist, due in no small part to a powerhouse performance by scalp-tattooed power-muscle bottom Sagat. Says director Ward himself, "Him performing in front of my camera will go down as one of the high points of my directing career." So it's not just porn ... it's history! -RM
