We hate to interrupt your daily smut surfing pleasure with a news item that's only tangentally porn related, but we're excited over the news that our favorite former dirty movie director and longtime friend of Fleshbot Wash West won both the festival jury prize and the audience award at Sundance this past weekend for "Quinceañera", a film about Latino culture in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles that he wrote and co-directed with partner Richard Glatzer. Sure, the film is about as far as you can get from such previous career highlights of his as "Naked Highway", the 2004 GayVN Award-winning "The Hole", and even the mainstream(-ish) "The Fluffer" ... but we're thrilled to see him get the recognition he deserves, and we're proud to be able to say we new him when. Congrats, Wash!
