Artist Marc Ming Chan's provenance (he now makes his home in Paris by way of Hong Kong) is significant for two reasons: first, his highly charged art shows influences by non-Western masters such as Tagame and Sadao Hasegawa; and second, it explains why his gorgeously designed online gallery is written entirely en francais.
