At NYC photographer Aaron Cobbett's new website you'll find a deep and meaningful study into masculinity, and what it means to be a man in today's culture. (At least thats what we told ourselves after coming back to the website for the third time... today.) Getting his start in the downtown NYC scene of club kids, drag queens, and Patricia Field, Cobbett's toes that fine line between an ultra-glossy commercial aesthetic and a (sometimes quite literal) "rock out with your cock out" sleaziness. Cobbett's new website, Pink And Wrinkly, is a peek inside a hyper-saturated world of Cobbett's visions of masculinity, namely the go-go dancers, stripppers, and gay porn stars. As it says in the inroduction, "In our persistent pursuit of understanding, we put men in and out of context, in and out of traditional male environs, in and out of spandex". Sounds good to us.
