Probably best known in his career-making role as writer, director and star of "Hedwig and The Angry Inch", John Cameron Mitchell has a new movie making all kinds of sexually liberated waves in "Shortbus". His first film since 2001's "Hedwig", JCM (as we like to call him) has been working for several years on this latest project, which cast actors willing to perform actual sex as part of the script. The new trailer for the film is now available on iFilm (and after the jump)—but you'll probably be more interested in the uncensored version now available at the official Shortbus website. (At least we were. But we're pervy like that.)
Next time we bump into John Cameron Mitchell we'll be sure to ask him if he still feels that the difference between his movie and porn is that he sees "pornography as [being] devoid of artistic intent." Funny, that's the same thing we thought about "Party Girl", the TV Series. (We kid because we love.)
"Shortbus" premieres in North America in Toronto on September 10 and in New York on September 26, going into wider release next month.
