DVD: Joe Gage’s “Road To Redneck Hollow”

Given the title and the presence of the decidely un-white-collar-looking Tober Brandt on the boxcover, you'll forgive us for expecting that Joe Gage's latest Titan production was going to be the answer to our white trash fuckfest dreams, full of dirty trailer park romps and man-on-man orgies by the ol' swimmin' hole. So you can imagine our disappointment when we saw that aside from a couple of establishing shots, practically all of "Road To Redneck Hollow" was shot indoors—and that aside from the occasional trucker cap and wifebeater and a few attempts at down-home accents, there's really not that much that screams "redneck" as far as we're concerned. Still, there is plenty of what makes any Joe Gage feature better than most of the other big studio porn flicks out there, like his trademark pacing as well as intergenerational pairings, men in uniforms, hot gloryhole action, and lots and lots of guys pissing on themselves and each other—not to mention some standout performances by Brandt, Titan trophy stud Dean Flynn, big-dicked newcomer Logan Robbins, and uncut dreamboat Mason Wyler. We've no doubt that Joe Gage is capable of giving us the redneck porn opus we've been jonesing for one of these days; let's just hope his road takes him there soon.
