East Village Boys: How The Other Half Lives

As you're probably well aware even if you don't happen to live in the Big Apple, Chelsea and the East Village represent the polar opposites of the New York City gay experience. For better or (mostly) worse, Chelsea culture has by and large become the standard gay sensibility everywhere from Eighth Avenue to Santa Monica Boulevard to the Castro -- but to see how the other half lives, you'll need to either (1) squeeze your way into the Phoenix on a Friday night, or (2) spend some time browsing through the newish and already pretty wonderful East Village Boys online journal of "cock culture", where you'll find things like vintage porn tributes, edgy fashion and photography spreads, and more beautiful bodies and big dicks than you can shake your stick at. (Come to think of it, we hear those Chelsea boys are sort of into that whole beautiful body/big dick thing too. Maybe they all have more in common than they think?)
