Rod Barry Kicks the Bottle, We Wish He’d Spin It

Every so often we have to get a little serious for a moment. Today's very special episode is brought to you by Rod Barry, who is giving up booze and heading to rehab. Congrats!

Our friend at Gay Porn Times alerted us to an update on Barry's blog where he says he's entering a VA alcohol rehabilitation program (if you couldn't tell by his tattoo, he was a Marine) that's a 24-day inpatient program. Thankfully, he's not retiring from porn, but he will be taking a step back for a bit.

Yes, it's not sexy to talk about, but plenty of people unjustly profile adult video models as drug and booze-addled sex hounds. While some of that may be true (what's wrong with being a little nympho anyway?), it's good to see that someone can do the right thing and get some help when he needs it. Sharing his struggle with the sauce might even inspire someone else to get clean. We'll continue to use him for inspiration to get dirty, however.

Barry, a industry veteran who has been working for more than a decade and appears in Mustang's "Forced Entry" later this month, always seemed like a really nice and fun guy, so we're happy he's getting help. Why don't you use some of those empty bottles to play spin the bottle with us, huh?
