Oh sad, sad day. Andy Whitfield, the gorgeous Australian actor who has been tickling our loins all season playing the lead role in "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" has been diagnosed with cancer!
Whitfield, 38, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma which is "very treatable." Hold on a second, he's 38? Damn, we hope we look that good when we're close to forty. Back to more serious matters, he said in a statement, ""I'm receiving excellent care, and am feeling strong, positive and determined with an army of support behind me." The sad thing is that Starz! Is postponing shooting on season two until he makes a recovery. The good thing is, there is going to be a season two! So, get better Andy. Until then we're going to be sending all our positive mojo your way, and by positive mojo we mean the loads we crank out watch your abs heave on our television.
