One of the rationalizations for mainstream porn companies using black actors is that they don't sell as well as everyone else. Well, one dutiful blogger seems to think men of color have given Sean Cody an uptick in traffic!
As you'll recall, the normally lily white "amateur" site has been using some black models as of late which coincides with a mini spike around the time of the site's first interracial fuck scene in quite some time. This was brought to our attention by blogger Aymar Jean Christian, who is smart in college.
He argues that Sean Cody, and other gay sites, need to start diversifying or else they're going to lose their market shares to more diverse sites or places like XTube where visitors can see anything and everything they want for free. For what it's worth, posts about black guys on Fleshbot—while not blockbusters—tend to do average to slightly above average numbers, so we always knew the "black guys don't sell" line was bunk. As he points out, we don't know for sure if these numbers translate into sales and almost all porn sites operate on subscriptions rather than attracting the most viewers, so the model is a bit different. However, he offers a compelling argument for why everyone should be getting more colorful in their actor selections. If this kid is as cute as he is smart, he has a long future in porn!
