We've been waiting years for this moment! The champions of homoerotic advertising, Abercrombie & Fitch, have finally, finally we say!, had their legendary male models kiss kiss kiss! Since the ad is two guys wresting in the shower, they might as well be fucking.
We'd embed the video, but Bruce Weber, the famed filmographer who did the vid, ain't having none of that, so watch it here. The title -- "Other sports require one ball. Wrestling requires two." -- is provocative, but makes no sense. Wouldn't it require either none or four *ahem* balls? The video is in a series of sexually charged videos A&F has launched celebrating the joys of wrestling in their clothing. Since the days of the Greeks, the pinnacle of homo lechery has been watching taught young men grappling on a mat, so A&F is preaching to the gay men's choir.
SPOILER ALERT: Before you get disappointed when you reach the video's end and see that the kiss is merely a peck on the forehead and not the heavy lip-lock with tongue we're hoping for, realize the mere fact that there is even a kiss at all is pretty grand. For over a decade, A&F has flirted with homoeroticism, but never overtly. Guys were horseplaying in states of near nudity, but they always remained resolutely heterosexual buds. Now, with one mere tender kiss to the forehead, the male bonding takes the distinct tone of gay love -- the love that today dares to speak its name. Soon, mark our words, there will be an A&F ad with two men kissing on the lips -- if only because the brand needs to up the ante.
