We have a serious soft spot for nerds. We've not jerking off in the audience at Dark Knight or anything, but there's nothing that gets us going quite like a huge…brain. Sure, we tuned in to watch the televised landing of the new Mars rover last night, but just like everyone in the world, our attention quickly waned from super-science-in-space thing to "holy shit—who is the guy with the mohawk in the control room?!"

It's true. After appearing on camera for no longer than three seconds last night, Bobak Ferdowski (a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Engineer), became an instant internet sensation by squashing the "all nerds are ugly" myth. Whoever said that, anyway? Check out his adorable mohawk and that Earth-shattering smile.
