Winter isn't the only thing coming. Kristian Nairn- who plays the immensely popular character Hodor on "Game of Thrones"- is coming… out as gay. He officially confirmed his out status in an interview with the Game of Thrones fan site Winter Is Coming, and apparently had been just waiting for the right opportunity.
"I've never hidden my sexuality from anyone, my whole life in fact, and I've been waiting for someone to ask about it in an interview, cos it's not something you just blurt out. I've tried to lead the questions a few times, to no avail!"
The revelation stemmed from questions regarding the bear community's appreciation for his portrayal of burly strongman Hodor, protector of the young prince Bran Stark. Hodor has been a recurring character on the HBO series since its debut in 2011. Nairn will return on "Game of Thrones" when season four debuts April 6. Hopefully with more nude scenes. That's a prosthetic, by the way. Natch.
