Javier Baez On The Cover Of ESPN’s ‘Body Issue’ Is Exactly What We Needed

CELEBRITY

Chicago Cubs' Javier Baez took it all off for the latest cover of ESPN's 'Body Issue', and we couldn't be happier. The 24 year old hottie appears on a series of different covers that were shot in an old airplane hanger in Arizona, and it was all shot on an iPhone 7 Plus. A naked dude using an iPhone to take steamy pics? How original.

"We were seeing the incredible images iPhone users post on social media tagged with #shotoniphone and our team said, 'That’s it. How about we do a BODY shoot on iPhone?'" said ESPN The Magazine editor-in-chief Alison Overholt.

Javier is one hot beast, but that's just one of the reasons he was chosen for the cover. After the Cubs became world champions, breaking a 108-year losing streak, the decision basically made itself. Just look at ESPN's tweet announcing the 2017 issue:

Baez isn't the only sports figure to show us all he's got in the issue, but all eyes are definitely on him as the cover boy. In his interview with ESPN, Baez shares some of the highlights of his life and what he finds most important in his career. See guys, it's not all bats and balls (although that'd be just fine, too).

I don't know about y'all, but I love a guy with tattoos - especially one with so many. Baez, who I'm convinced agrees with me, talks about his own ink and why he considers tats to be very important in life.

Even if you're not from Chicago, Javier Baez should be giving you plenty of reasons to cheer on the Cubs. Check out ESPN's 'Body Issue' when it hits shelves July 5.
