Adult Film Star and Producer Blue Blake Dead at 52

Long-time adult film actor and producer Blue Blake has died in London at 52. The cause of death is not yet known - however Gay Star News reports that while the death has not been ruled suspicious, it is a bit odd. Blake was found dead in a chair by friends who let themselves into his home in London after not hearing from him for several days.

In addition to being an adult film actor and producer, Blake, née Glenn Marsh, eventually started his own adult film company. In 2011, he teamed up with Eurocreme for the feature "A Policeman Fucked My Son" starring Win Soldier, Paddy O'Brien, and other popular gay British pornstars. He introduced many stars and bodybuilders to the industry over the course of his 20-year career, including Robert Van Damme. Ultimately, he was inducted into the GayVN Hall of Fame in 2005.

Blake was also an accomplished author; he published a his memoir in 2008, titled Out of the Blue: Confessions of an Unlikely Porn Star, in which he talked about transforming from a skinny drama student with no self-esteem into a bodybuilder porn star.

Blake...performed in several gay porn scenes between 1993 and 2003 before taking a more active role behind the scenes, according to the website. Blake, whose real name is Glenn Marsh, ran his own studio, Big Blue Productions, and in 2008 published an autobiography “Out of the Blue; Confessions of an Unlikely Porn Star.” […]

Blake was a former Royal Marine (the U.K.’s amphibious light infantry force) and hailed from Nottingham, England, according to Al’s Gay Porn Stars directory, which also notes he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and appeared on stage in the U.K.
