Titan Men's new DVD Fast Paced illustrates the problem with studios filming too far in advance. Jake Genesis shot this scene early in 2013, just weeks before he retired from gay porn. In May 2013, Genesis wrote and issued a giant hissy fit denouncing porn for destroys lives – not just performers' lives, but everyone. He went on to explain that it no longer agreed with his religious convictions. He's entitled to his opinion and Genesis' sermon from the mount wasn't anti-gay, just anti-porn.
While watching Trenton Ducati and Jake Genesis flip flopping in a warehouse makes for a hot scene, I wonder if Titan Men should have released this one at all. I understand that they forked out performer fees and crew salaries and presumably don't want to shelf the scene and lose their investment, but does anyone want to see a retired porn hater sucking dick in a porn video? I don't.
Fast Paced is being released on the heels of Pride celebrations wrapping up all over the world. Is Pride only about celebrating being gay? Can you separate sex from being gay? And isn't porn a way many of us explore and enjoy sex? Does it matter that Genesis slammed the whole porn industry? Or is Fast Paced just a porn video? It doesn't matter. You know, fuck off Joe, just enjoy the sex?
