Tayte Hanson's been spending too much time at poetry slams lately, as evidenced by the trailer for his new flick The Experience. The tagline for the film is "Fall 2014, Tayte Hanson invites you to experience, The Experience." I literally could not make this up if I tried.
The good people over at The Sword (link below) turned us on to this, and it's been a source of endless amusement. Look, it's not as if artsy projects are always laughable, it's just that Tayte seems to think that six months as a CockyBoy has given him all the confidence he needed to bare his soul on screen.
The voiceover is phenomenally tin-eared, with lines like, "Come, I'll help you find yourself whilst you discover me." He washes his face, checks the mail, sits at a piano, and weeps. It's like watching a first year undergrad who watched fifteen minutes of a David Lynch film trying to replicate it. The most baffling thing of all is that James Franco is not involved. This is right in his wheelhouse.
