The Mountain Is Either A Mountain Of A Man Or A Very Manly Mountain

If you don't watch Game of Thrones, allow me to give you three reasons you should watch: Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, aka Gregor Clegane, aka The Mountain. This massive native of Iceland turns 26 this month, stands 6'9", and weighs nearly 400 pounds, nearly all of which is muscle.

It's nice for fans of the show to see him outside of his natural habitat on the show, which is usually crushing skulls. The actor began his career playing basketball, but after meeting up with another Icelandic weightlifting legend, Magnús Ver Magnússon, he changed direction in his life, becoming a professional Strongman. It was here that he was spotted by a GOT casting director and the rest is history.

It's almost a little disheartening to see him holding a cell phone and signing photos and frankly doing anything but crushing skulls, but it's also nice to be reminded that he's not a special effect, despite how much he seems like one.
