Bryan Ferry's last album was an odd diversion for fans, where he reimagined some of his most classic songs like "Love is the Drug" and "Virginia Plain" as jazz standards. Despite some spirited defense from fans, most of us weren't fans of this experiment. However, his new album "Avonmore" has been billed as a return to form, and if this video for the first single "Loop De Li" is any indication, that billing is very accurate.
The video, directed by Aoife McArdle, doesn't feature Ferry at all, but it does feature Sam Woodhams as an angry young man who may be repressing some urges. When he finally lets those urges loose, however, the results are a bit devastating. What do you think? Is this vintage Roxy Music Ferry or is this looking to be another "Mamouna" in the making?
