But also, let’s talk about their FABULOUS wreath.
And their door color is on-point.
The holidays are for spreading love, peace and cheer (Happy Holidays to you and yours, if you haven’t heard it already. If you have, here’s to hearing it again.)
You know what they aren’t? A time to spread hate. Too bad that’s what “The Gays in Apt. 611” experienced when someone scratched “FAGGOTS” into their door.
Thank goodness they’re good-natured, however. Many would have fumed and made a big to-do, but this couple made light of the situation with the best reply:
“TO THE INDIVIDUAL WHO SCRATCHED THE WORD ‘FAGGOTS’ INTO OUR DOOR:
We regret to inform you that you completely failed to use glitter paint and/or sequins, your work looked rushed, and your handwriting was positively atrocious.
It is for these reasons that we had to remove your work from our door with sandpaper.
Fabulously yours,
The Gays in Apt. 611”
Nothing in particular is known about the couple. The image was posted by a friend, user pwnyride13.
“Someone scratched a gay slur into my buddy and his boyfriends [sic] door, their response is priceless.”
According to the original Reddit poster, the gay couple’s apartment management company “basically didn’t care,” but they did repaint the door. However, the offensive graffiti was scratched into the door, so it was still visible, so “the gays in Apt 611″ had to break out the sandpaper.
As usual with Reddit, the response was overwhelmingly positive.
While it is sad we are still having conversations like this in 2015, at least these gays have a refreshing sense of humor.
How would you have responded? WOULD you have responded?
