I grew up in the South where we have a saying: "He (or she but eh) makes me so horny that I could fuck a chain link fence." It's just one of those cute things we say while making moonshine in a radiator. Last night's season four premiere of the southern soap Nashville reintroduced us to the man who makes all chain link fences south of the Mason Dixon Line run in fear, the gorgeous Kyle Dean Massey.
It's hard to imagine that a show as gay as Nashville started off with a cast comprised entirely of straight actors. The series, which follows country legend Rayna James (Connie Britton) as she dukes it out with popular newcomer Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), originally had two main heartthrobs - Gunnar Scott (Sam Palladio) and Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) - both straight. It didn't take long for producers to realize that women dressed like drag queens pulling on each other's weaves + gorgeous men with southern accents = substantial gay following. By season two the show started introducing its hot AF gay characters.
First, was closeted country music heartthrob Will Lexington (Chris Carmack):
Followed by Brent McKinney (Derek Krantz), Will's openly gay love interest:
Then of course the man that I want to shower, I mean the man of the hour, the openly gay country music star who sacrificed stardom for being his true self, Kevin Bicks (Kyle Dean Massey):
Kyle is gay in real life and is not new to stardom. The talented stud has appeared in a number of high-profile theater productions and television shows, but found his largest following through his work on Nashville.
