Why Mormons Get You Hard: Interview with MormonBoyz Founder LeGrand Wolf

MormonBoyz founder LeGrand Wolf uses his personal experiences growing up gay and Mormon to tap into the allure of these devout dudes. I randomly met Wolf at a bar in NYC over New Years, where his stories about Mormons after dark and the creation of MormonBoys attracted a slack-jawed crowd, most likely at half mast. Since He works in mysterious ways, I figured this was a sign to go in deep with LeGrand here at Fleshbot.

H.E: First off, why does Mormon porn turn people on?

L.W: My husband and I were missionaries once upon a time, and we invented Mormon boy porn because we are really turned on by those wholesome teenagers, dressed up in suit and tie, riding around on bicycles. They’re really hot, but what’s even hotter is the intimacy of the relationship between two missionary companions. They spend every second of the day together, trying to repress their adolescent sexual urges and be good boys. Which, of course, doesn’t usually work out very well! Before my husband and I came along, there were a few one-off porn videos about Mormon missionaries, but they missed what is sexy about the Mormon boy reality that we lived. So we go deeper into the story, following our boys through their rites of passage. That’s where it gets into daddy-son action, as more mature Mormon men teach the boys how to take it a like a man. I also think there’s a lot of mystery surrounding Mormonism. You might know a thing or two about Mormons, but most people only have the sense that it’s a creepy cult. That, and the whole polygamy thing. I think it’s the mystery that’s exciting for a lot of our fans. What exactly is going on in those top-secret temples…?

The other thing that's a huge turn on is how innocent Mormon boys are. A lot of people fantasize about seeing those squeaky-clean boys defiled. And we show these young guys being used and humiliated by the older men who are their trusted leaders.Essentially, Mormon boys are really sexy 18 and 19 year olds, and we make sure they get a good hard fucking.

H.E: Can you tell us a little more about your personal relationship with Mormonism, and how it led you to create MormonBoyz?

L.W: Once upon a time, my husband and I were both good Mormon boys, born and raised in Utah. We were true believers and we even went on missions. But we both sensed that we were gay from a young age, and that’s a big problem, so neither of us told anyone. When I was in the missionary training center, I was suddenly surrounded by other adolescent boys and I wanted to fuck around with so many of them. We shared a communal shower, so every morning we’d stand naked in a circle and soap up while we chatted. By some miracle, I managed to never get a boner even though that shower was the hottest thing that had ever happened to me. When I was sent out to preach the gospel, one of my companions happened to be bisexual. Since a missionary spends all day, every day with his companion, it wasn’t long before he and I started having sex. I'm not Mormon now, but I think the porn we make at MormonBoyz can be enjoyed by anyone, whether they love Mormonism or they hate it. For those who love it, they get to see their secret, illicit fantasies come to life. For those who hate it, it’s hard to imagine anything more subversive to the faith than hardcore gay Mormon porn!

H.E: The Book of Mormon highlights an association between Mormonism and homosexuality (and hot guys). Are you playing off of a similar energy in your work?

L.W: I love The Book of Mormon musical! I think it really nails the psychological reality of being a missionary - the hot straight bromance, the innocence and idealism and cluelessness and self-importance, and the pretending that bad feelings and desires don’t exist. In real life most Mormon men seem like closeted gays, even if they’re not. They’re polite, they’re sensitive and they don’t really talk about sex. When I came out, it was a shock to most of the Mormons I knew, even though I am clearly gay. The musical taps into that pervasive gayness. The relationship between Elder Price and Elder Cunningham reads like true love. The Mormon church has put itself at the center of the national debate about gay rights, and one unintended consequence is that the concepts of Mormonism and homosexuality are now inextricably linked! You could even say they’re married in people’s minds. When you think of Mormons, you think of gays. I think that’s wonderful!

H.E: Just to clarity - Do Mormon people watch Mormon porn? Also, do you utilize Mormon models?

L.W: Not all of our models are Mormon, but some of them are. What they all share is a desire to be initiated into the secret gay priesthood called The Order. The boys have to prove their worthiness to the men of The Order by submitting to a series of rituals, many of which are based on real Mormon temple rituals, some of which are humiliating, all of which are erotic. As for who watches MormonBoyz, we do get a lot of Mormons writing in to say that our scenarios are just like the fantasies they have about missionaries and about priesthood leaders. There’s a lot of sexual repression in Mormonism, and whenever you repress something you only fan the flames. So that taboo is a powerful stimulant for lots of Mormons. But our fan base goes far beyond Mormons. Most of the people who subscribe to our site have never been Mormon – they just love our boys and want to see their filthy stories unfold.

H.E: Can you tell us a little about how Mormonism affects the scenarios in your videos?

L.W: The MormonBoyz world centers on a set of secret sexual practices peculiar to Mormonism – the temple glory hole, the priesthood stretcher, washing and anointing, and ordination by insemination. Your average Mormon doesn’t know about these rituals – they’re reserved for the hottest Mormon boys. And for our viewers, of course. I would say that Mormon boys are especially obedient, especially submissive, especially eager to please their leaders. Mormon men have a lot of power and authority over these boys, so they’re very good at giving orders and getting what they want.

H.E: After seeing your videos I don’t think there’s anything sexier than Mormon underwear. Honestly. Can you tell us a little about the history of these? Did you have to wear them, and did your first hookup involve them?

L.W: Part of what makes the Mormon underwear – the garments, as they’re called – so sexy is that they’re secret. No one who isn’t Mormon is ever supposed to see them. I remember watching Angels in America, and that moment when super-hottie Patrick Wilson stripped down to his garments both shocked me and gave me an instant boner.

I did wear the garments myself, and I did have sex in them. I guess I have a Mormon underwear fetish. I love using them to wipe up cum after sex. L.W: We work with a lot of guys who have never done porn before. So we do everything we can to make our set a happy place. The talent all hang out and get to know one another.
