This spring, the fate of the fantastically homoerotic "Spartacus: Blood And Sand" was left up in the air when star Andy Whitfield left the series to resume treatment for his non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We languished for months worrying over what would happen to our Beloved "Spartacus," the wonderfully violent and smutty hour that had become our one-stop shop for gratuitous male nudity on premium cable. It looks like the show's producers have decided to proceed with a sequel and, from the looks of things, the "Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena" will be as as its predecessor. But then again, how could we expect anything less from something that might as well be named after our favorite sexy calendar?
