First off, have any of you ever seen the Showtime series Gigolos? It's fucking nuts! Everything is staged and produced as if it's an episode of literally any TLC show, but on THIS show the fortysomething women with tweety bird tattoos are orgasming and talking openly about their happy stuffed hermit crabs.

Now that you're wet, let's talk about the recent news that star Nick Hawk, one of the gigolos, has insured his penis for $1 million. Not surprisingly the exchange with the insurance agency, Geldin Insurance, will be featured on an upcoming episode of the series, which has been on air since 2011.

Since we've been hearing about celebrity insured body parts for forever, I finally looked up what it's all about. According to Slate it apparently started back in the early years of Hollywood, and apparently the first guy ever take out a policy on his body was that notorious cross-eyed vaudeville performer that we all know and love, Ben Turpin. If his eyes ever became uncrossed, he would have collected $20,000. Do with that information, what you wish. Obviously he set a precedent that we would be reading about for years to come in US Weekly, including Mariah Carey's famous legs, worth $1 billion. I'm guessing, however, that they depreciate.
