Aaron James is Taking on Tyra Banks and Her Ridiculous Analogies

PORNSTARS

The hotly anticipated episode of "The Tyra Banks Show" where she talks to gay-for-pay pornstars aired yesterday. While it didn't break any new ground, it was more cheese-tastic than we could have hoped.

After Kurt Wild stumbled to explain whether he likes to "give presents" or "receive presents" (we blame nerves), Tyra went on the defensive trying to make him look like a slimy jerk who is doing wrong by his wife and kids by making porn. Next up was the much more eloquent Aaron James who we learned lost his girlfriend the week prior because he decided to go on the show (we heard that since the taping, he's been out of touch with some friends in the biz, and we hope he's OK). Dean Coxx also sat on the stage and Tyra talked to his rather attractive girlfriend who shared with us that she thinks he's bi, even though he won't cop to it. We like her.

After talking to some straight guys who work at gay bars and getting them to share stories about the things drunk queers say to them so that the audience could snicker at the audacity of gay men, she brought all the boys back on stage with Sean Kennedy, the very lovely editor of The Advocate. James had his crowning moment here, hitting the nail on the head by saying that the reason people have a problem with this is because they have a problem with homosexuals. Talk about a straight ally that we can get behind! Kennedy then went on to make some sure to be controversial statements, saying that he wishes only gay guys worked in gay bars (feel free to discuss below—we already got in a heated discussion with last night's trick about this).

The best, however, is Tyra's completely retarded analogy that finishes out our clip. It's worth a listen. Later in the show, Tyra talks about all her gay friends (it's always about you, isn't it Ty-Ty) and she's right, the gays love this walking drag queen. While we think she has our best interests at heart, we don't think this episode is going to endear her to her gay fans. At the end of the hour, by going on attack against the guys who are gay for pay, it seems more like an indictment of the gay culture that pays these men for their services and allows it to happen.

What do you think? Are we off base?
