When Susan Sontag wrote "What pornography is really about, ultimately, isn't sex but death," she might as well have been referring to some of Slava Mogutin's work. Today, the Siberian-born photographer is perhaps best known for his many editorial and fashion layouts for glossies like Russia's Kvir magazine ... but intensely erotic fetish studies are also a part of his portfolio. Kvir recently published Mogutin's famed "Wigger" series, in which some of his subjects appear dazed and spent while others look ecstatic. As Sontag hinted, you don't know whether they're about to cum or die ... or both.-RM
