The much-anticipated CW series Riverdale premieres tonight, and it's being touted as a cross between The O.C. and Twin Peaks - complete with intrigue, murder, hot teen pieces, and of course a gay character played by newbie Casey Cott! A teen series without one gay character to keep it real is like James Franco's colon without his head's permanent address inside. And thankfully Riverdale, which is tightly based on the Archie comics, has the gay character Kevin Keller at its disposal.

Everyone on the Internet is searching - Does Casey Cott have a boyfriend? Does Casey Cott have a girlfriend? Is Casey Cott gay? - but as of now those questions have yet to be answered. In this interview below we learn that Casey Cott's Kevin Keller has the hots for Archie in the new series, and that he, of course, keeps things real in the town of Riverdale.

In The CW series, Kevin is played by newcomer Casey Cott. In a video introducing viewers to the character, Cott explains that Kevin “is one of the only characters who is constantly saying the truth” on Riverdale. He’s also central to the show’s mystery since he—along with Archie—discovers a dead body in the show’s pilot.
Back in 2010 Kevin Keller became Archie Comics’ latest breakout star when his arrival in Veronica issue #202 became the only Archie comic in the company’s history to sell out. Since then he has gone on to headline his own mini-series and is currently starring in his own digital title, Life With Kevin, which explores Kevin’s post-Riverdale life as a journalist in New York.
