T_T Why do you make my life so difficult?

Hey Channing, no apologies needed!!! I hovered my mouse cursor over my picture, and indeed ... a little window popped up saying "Member since October 2006". *WHEW*. Glad that they kept that!!!

You know Channing, you seem like a cool guy ... and you've always been a great addition to Kotaku, so I'd like to invite you to our little secret Kotaku club. It's called "Kotakuites". I know it sounds elitist, but it's full of good people, those who add to the experience at Kotaku with good comments, not trolling and asshattery. We pride ourselves on that and knowing that there's never going to be 1 asshat around our place. Witzbold is there, as many others are. Mainly it's a place for us to chat a little, blog a little, play games together on all platforms, discuss Kotaku articles in deeper discussion, stuff like that. If it sounds interesting to you, stop on by and register!

Grew up in Kailua on Oahu, went to high school at UH. I work in Dallas, but we still have the house and I try to get back at least once every 2-3 years.

It's funny, but I've noticed that if you stay in Hawaii you work so many hours you don't get to really appreciate where you live. When I come to visit I enjoy the bejeezus out of it.

Sadly, I think that they did away with that Channing. It really pisses me off. It was nice seeing the join date if you ask me.

I will call you tomorrow. Or today, actually.

Also, another way straight people might offend a gay person: calling them "faggy"

    RE: straight people

Examples of how straight people might offend gay people without trying: "I have a gay friend. Maybe I should set you up" As if all we would need in common is being gay, unlike straight people.

"I have no problem with gay people, but why do they have to flaunt it?"

Acting like anything that doesn't include a spouse or children is beneath them.

Asking personal questions about coming out or sexual experiences that they would never in a million years ask their casual straight friends.

"That's so gay. Oh I don't mean gay gay, I mean stupid. It's just a figure of speech."

Assuming that everyone in the room is straight at all times unless they know for a fact someone is gay.

Assuming anyone slightly effeminate male or masculine female is gay.

Assuming any "manly" man or sexy woman is straight.

Thinking that they can act like gay-specific clubs/bars/businesses/events are their own private spectacle.

Assuming that every gay guy will hit on them when most of us have absolutely no real interest in straight men.

Asking dumb questions like "How do you KNOW you're gay?" As if they had to ask whether they are sure they are straight.

assuming that all gay people conform to sterotypes like Broadway musicals or women in flannels playing softball on a Harley

I could go on for the next hour so I will stop now.

Fake, but a funny parody about the "digging up" of old Atari E.T. carts! Reports say the games were crushed first, then encased in cement. No treasure hunts for us. :(
