Dirty Boys Get Up To “Dirty Tricks”

2008_03_28_dirtyboys.jpgMaybe one reason why we’re so keen on the idea of porn serials is because of that crushing sense of loss and abandonment we get when we reach the end of a dirty DVD or paysite scene: we’ve lived and laughed and splooged with these characters for anywhere from five to ninety minutes or so, and just like that they’re gone forever, never to return. So we’re happy that the boys at Dirty Boy Video have picked up where the fondly remembered “Wet Palms” left off (no surprise, since they’re both coproduced by the same company) with the brand new “Dirty Tricks”, a new episodic tale of life, laughter, and … yes, splooge in NYC’s East Village. Experiencing “The Smell of Timber”

2008_03_28_timber.jpgOn the one hand, we think it’s great that Galaxia Entertainment is giving scent its due: in porn, and in film generally, smell is the most underused of the five senses. It’s a hard thing to convey, much less to package, and apart from John Waters’ “Polyester” we can’t think of anyone who’s mined its potential. (No, Mary: Colt’s occasional inclusion of “leather cleaner” in its DVD screener packages doesn’t count.)
