A 'Black Panther' Actor Can't Escape His Gay Porn Past

While the entire cast of Black Panther is made up of some of the most talented actors in Hollywood, for many the project was more than just a movie. For Atlanta-based Patrick Shumba Mutukwa, who played a Border Tribe Warrior throughout the film and a dialect coach to the main cast (he's originally from Zambia), it was a chance to be a hometown legend. All was well until Mutukwa was caught off guard while doing interviews back in Zambia last week. It seems even though you don't dwell on your past, others will always find a way to bring it up.

As he was doing his press tour for the film, photos from a gay adult film Mutukwa had starred in when he was in his early 20s began circulating online. Rather than fight with the press and those who were trying to tarnish his reputation, Mutukwa shut down all of his social media accounts. He stated the "he knows there are children engaged with him that he knows should not witness the video."

The news of his pornographic past didn't go over well with Zambian news outlets. The Zambian Observer called Mutukwa out for being a hypocrite when he was "actually a p*rn star in America who makes a living out of making p*rn0graph!c material." Yes, that's verbatim.

According to his publicist, Mutukwa has called the images and video "unsavory," an "errored decision," and "immature behavior." While he has stayed pretty quiet about it all, Mutukwa did post a Facebook message to express his feelings about the ordeal.
