First off, if you haven't been following the production of Call Me By Your Name, then you're surely missing out on a lot. You may also be living under a rock, so I won't be too harsh. Armie Hammer stars in the film set in Italy in 1983, and he doesn't just have a name that basically confirms he has a big dick (we all know it), but he's also been pretty open about his experience doing the controversial movie.
During production, Armie spent a few days in the buff shooting some scenes. Turns out he wasn't very confident about it in the beginning. Last month, he told Instinct Magazine that he almost turned down the role.
"I was a little nervous about all the nudity that was originally in the script," Armie said. "And I had images of my daughter being at school, and she's 13 years old, and people are teasing her and printing out pictures of my penis and, I thought, 'Oh man!"
Luckily, Armie got over his fear rather quickly and ended up taking on the role. In fact, he expressed to IndieWire that his reservations went away shortly after he disrobed.
“We spent several days shooting this movie completely nude. After the first take you [realize] how silly all the nerves are that you’ve built up about this thing."
Glad he's confident about that rocking body he's got. I completely get how someone like that could feel shy about showing off... not.
Sadly we won't be seeing Armie's hammer in the film (sorry had to), but we will get a good look at those cakes of his. Armie and his costar Timothée Chalamet both signed "no frontal nudity clauses" - most likely because they hate November.
