Mrs. Tom Daley, Dustin Lance Black, looks like himself on the cover of Attitude Magazine, where he opens up about homophobia in Hollywood as well as his relationship with Olympic diver Tom Daley. Words like "plasticy," "minor cosmetic procedures," "discount Calvin Harris," and "plasticy discount Calvin Harris with minor cosmetic procedures" come to mind when looking at the pictures of the 42-year-old screenwriter that accompany the article. All good things! Here's the jizz-st on what Dustin has to say in Attitude:
On the challenged the LGBT community faces in the coming years:
We’re in... a worldwide backlash where people are talking about building walls and closing borders instead of understanding and embracing their neighbor. I hope to inspire a new generation to stand up and fight back and protect what we have in a moment of darkness like this.
On how Hollywood is still Homophobia central:
I’ve never encountered homophobia in casting from the studios or networks, not once, not ever. Where you encounter it is with the agents and the managers, they’re the ones who have an outdated notion of the price an actor might pay if it’s discovered that they’re LGBTQ…often they don’t want to see anything happen that might compromise their investment. I think they cripple their actors because they stunt the star’s ability to be open and honest, and an audience can feel that.
Is he even an actor?
On actors who need to suck it up and talk about their sexuality for the betterment of all gay kind:
I have no respect for someone who lies about their sexuality. At the very least say ‘no comment,’ just keep your personal life personal. But if you’re going to closet yourself, that sends a negative message.
And finally, on how Tom Daley is a bossy bottom:
I think probably the biggest misconception is that I’m somehow the boss, and the absolute truth of the matter is that he is the boss. He makes the plans, he keeps the calendar. I try to keep up but he’s definitely the more organised, stricter one, and I love that.
Cute! Here are the pics of Dustin Lance Black in Attitude Magazine!
